为了改善异龙湖的生态环境,延缓其老化和消亡过程,实现其自然资源的持续利用,以生态学与系统工程学原理为基础,分析异龙湖湖泊生态系统的组成与结构,依据其生态功能分区的原则,将异龙湖流域生态系统划分为4个子系统,分别根据各自的生态功能和主要环境问题,制订有效的保护措施。

龙子祠
位于临汾城西的姑射山下。寺前泉水涌泻而出，清澈透明，人称龙子泉。泉水流量较大，渠道纵横，灌溉万顷良田，一派水乡风光。因泉水泽润于民，人们建祠祀奉。祠坐北向南，创建于唐，元、明、清各代都有增建修葺。现存山门、过殿、水母殿、康泽王殿等主要建筑。祠内还有碑碣11通，对研究当地的水利开发和祠宇沿革有一定价值。每年农历四月十五有传统庙会，四方农商云集，十分热闹。
