Some experience of tall building base type selection in lime rock region, the advantage and disadvantage of pre-stressed pipe pile base and massive cement-soil-mat foundation, design and adoption of ramming expand driven cast-in-place pile base are introduced in this paper.

With a certain special railway project in the Lingang Industrial Zone of Tianjin as a practical example,the paper studies the mechanical properties of cement-mixed soil by the relevant tests,with the type of cement,water-cement ratio,different curing ages,the amount of cement added etc.

Based on the stress mechanism with composite foundation and rigid foundation,and the accuracy grade of pile positioning,the author believes that the existing technical standards for pile displacement in soil-cement mixed pile foundation are unreasonably rigorous.
