切除周围较大的神经干，阻断其感觉神经纤维的传入以解除疼痛的手术。因周围神经干有运动神经、感觉神经和无髓的自主神经纤维混合组成，切断周围神经虽能解除疼痛，但常伴有营养及运动障碍，并且切断的神经纤维数月后可再生而复发疼痛，现已很少采用。
