形态特征:兰科石斛属附生多年生草本植物。茎长30-50厘米,直径5-7毫米,具节,下垂。叶互生,披针形,长4-7厘米,宽6-15毫米,顶端长渐尖,花期叶凋落。4-5月开花,总状花序常常具2朵花,很少仅具1或3朵花,总花梗长约5毫米;花被片白色或黄白色,顶端紫色; 花瓣边缘具细齿;唇瓣肾状圆形,边缘具流苏,内面被毛,在基部具2个黄色大的斑块。
生境分布:附生于海拔550-2000米的林内树上。分布于云南、贵州、广西。不丹、印度东北部至中南半岛也有。
用途:茎药用,具滋阴养胃、清热生津及强壮的功效。
