为玄参科植物藓生马先蒿的根。

【植物形态】

藓生马先蒿多年生草本。根粗壮，有分叉。茎丛生，直立或倾卧，长达25厘米。叶互生；具柄；叶片椭圆形至披针形，长达5厘米，羽状全裂，裂片常互生，每边4～9枚，卵形至披针形，有锐重锯齿，齿有凸尖。花单生于叶腋，玫瑰色：花管长4～7.5厘米，外面有毛，盔前方卷曲成3形的长喙；花丝2对均无毛；花柱稍伸出于喙端。蒴果扁卵形，长1厘米，包于宿存花萼内。花期5～7月。果期8月。生于山地林下苔藓层中或阴湿处。分布山西、陕西、甘肃、青海及湖北等地。此外，尚有穗花马先蒿和轮叶马先蒿的根，在陕西亦同等入药。

【采集】

秋季采挖，阴干。

【性味】

味甘微苦，性温。

【功用主治】

大补元气，生津安神，强心。治气血虚损，虚劳多汗，虚脱衰竭，血压降低。

【用法与用量】

内服：煎汤，2～3钱。

【宜忌】

反藜芦。
