顺磁性物质
物理学术语。磁化率为正值的物质称为顺磁性物质。组成顺磁性物质的原子和分子都具有一个恒定的磁矩,但由于热运动,各原子的恒定磁矩的取向是混乱的,其宏观磁矩为零,故不显磁性。当有外磁场存在时,各原子的磁矩趋向于沿外磁场方向排列,磁矩的矢量和不等于零,在外磁场方向有宏观磁矩产生,即顺磁性。含有不配对电子的离子叫顺磁性离子。
