Two flavonoids Ⅰ and Ⅱ were isolated from the leaves of this plant and identified as genkwanin( Ⅰ ) and yuanhuanin( Ⅱ ).
结果与结论:从芫花叶的乙酸乙酯萃取物中分得两种黄酮类化合物Ⅰ和Ⅱ,分别鉴定为羟基芫花素、芫花叶苷,将Ⅱ用稀盐酸水解去一个葡萄糖之后,得其苷元Ⅱa羟基芫花素。

多枝小灌木。小枝、幼叶和花序有毛。叶对生，小而厚，肉质全缘。花白色或粉红色，单生于叶腋。蒴果倒卵形，几被包藏于萼筒内。种皮常扩大成翅。分布于台湾南部海岸。东半球热带海岸也有分布。
