次声波 infrasonic wave 人耳听不见的、频率低于20赫的声波。研究次声波的发生、传播规律、接收和次声波的应用构成了次声学这一声学分支。常见次声波的频率在10~20赫的范围,在空气中的波长大致从数十米至数千千米,空气对声波的吸收程度与频率有关,频率愈低,吸收愈小,次声波在大气中传播时的衰减很小,往往能传播数万乃至数十万千米而未见有明显的衰减。自然界有许多次声源,例如火山喷发、地震、雷电、风暴、海啸、流星、极光、电离层扰动等,一切大物体的振动都能产生次声波。大气中的声速与大气温度有关,大气温度随高度的分布是不均匀的,大致在高度20千米和80千米附近有两个温度极小值,声速在这两个高度处有极小值。根据声波的折射规律,声波主要集中在温度极小值附近的通道内传播,此通道称为声道,大气层有上、下两个声道。次声波可在环绕地球的两个声道中传播很远的距离。强的次声波对人体有影响,因为人体器官的固有频率在次声频率范围内,次声波频率与人体固有频率一致时会产生共振,人会出现头晕等反常感觉。 通过对自然界次声源的监测可确定雷暴、地震和台风等灾害源的地点和有关数据。次声传播会受到大气活动的影响,通过对次声传播规律的连续监测,可了解大范围的气象变化。通过对电离层所发次声的监测,可以了解电离层的扰动规律。 |
