肺正常组织在胚胎发育过程中过度生长，形成瘤样畸形。虽为良性，但有恶变可能。主要由软骨构成，其他成分有上皮、平滑肌、骨组织和钙质等混在一起。每一例的组织结构均有很大差异。多位于肺的边缘，多无症状，仅在X线检查时发现。肿瘤较大而靠近肺门，可有咳嗽、气急和胸痛等症状。X线检查呈圆形或分叶状肿块，边缘整齐与正常组织界限清楚，瘤内可见钙化点，常呈爆玉米花样，需与肺结核及周围型肺癌相鉴别。以手术治疗为主。
