性质：癌基因是正常的细胞基因，其表达产物与细胞正常生长、增殖和分化过程有关。但若被某种因素激活，就会转变成有转化细胞活力的癌基因而表达。由于这种表达在时空方面发生了混乱，能促使人或动物正常细胞发生转化和恶变。在人类细胞中此类癌基因称细胞癌基因或原癌基因。
