形态特征:十字花葶苈属矮小多年生草本植物,高2-3厘米。根状茎分枝,下部枯叶呈覆瓦状宿存、中部一年生叶密集成柱状。茎矮无叶。基生叶倒披针形,长3-7毫米,顶端渐尖,基部稍窄,两面有毡毛状小星状分枝毛,白色,基部两侧为长纤毛。7月开花,花葶高3-5毫米,果枝长达2.5厘米;花小,萼片背面被毛; 花瓣白色,4枚,倒卵状楔形、顶端微凹。短角果长卵形,长5毫米,宽1.5-2毫米。
生境分布:生于海拔4500-5200米的高山草甸、垫状植被中及河谷沙滩中。分布于西藏南部至北部。
