人工耳蜗
artificial cochlea
    一种模拟耳蜗(内耳)仿生装置。又称电子耳蜗。属生物医学工程研究领域。由于需经手术植入体内,故习惯称为耳蜗植入。其主要目的是使极重度或全聋残疾者获得部分听觉,改善其听力。
    声波到达内耳耳蜗,将声能转换为生物电能,引起蜗神经末梢兴奋,发出神经冲动,经听神经中枢传导径路传至听觉中枢,产生听觉。大多数聋症患者耳蜗螺旋器毛细胞虽近乎全部或全部丧失,但通常尚有一定比例神经纤维存活,这些残存神经纤维末梢可直接为电刺激激活。
    人工耳蜗基本构造由换能器和电极两部分组成,换能器携带于体外,主要包括换能器、语言处理机及发射器,电极则需经手术由中耳内壁圆窗植入耳蜗鼓阶,分单导及多导两种,单导已废止不用,多导电极可将语言信息分频处理,送到相关电极上,兴奋基底膜不同部位蜗神经末梢,模拟人类听觉机理。由于术后病人听到的是一种畸变的声音,只有通过训练,言语识别能力始能逐步提高。
