空间心向量环投影在额面上，形成额面心电向量图，而其投影在肢导上，就形成肢导心电图。额面QRS心电向量环，常呈狭长形，多为顺钟向运行，最大向量方位在+10°～65°之间 (向左下方）。一般地说，额面QRS向量环与Ⅲ导联垂直，所以Ⅲ导联的心电图波形变化较大。
