      17 世纪初反对波兰和瑞典干涉的俄国民军领导人。1609年波兰发动对俄战争,次年占领莫斯科。同期,瑞典军队占据诺夫哥罗德及其大部分领地。1611年 9月米宁任下诺夫哥罗德地方司法税务官,他号召居民保卫祖国,组建民军,并请Д.М.波扎尔斯基公爵任指挥官。1612年春,与波扎尔斯基率领民军由下诺夫哥罗德到雅罗斯拉夫尔,成立了临时政府。1612年 9月,民军主力开进莫斯科,击退波兰占领军,捍卫了国家的独立。1613年,米宁获得杜马贵族的封号,成为俄国的民族英雄。1818年,在莫斯科红场上为米宁和波扎尔斯基塑造了一座纪念像。
