【地衣酚】(orcinol)又称“3，5-二羟基甲苯”、“5-甲基间苯二酚”、“苔黑酚”。化学式`C_7H_8O_2\cdotH_2O`，分子量142.15。白色柱状结晶。熔点58℃，沸点290℃。溶于水、醇、醚。在空气中能变成红色。测定核糖核酸的试剂。核糖核酸水解后得到核糖，在浓酸中脱水环化生成糠醛，后者与地及酚作用显示蓝绿色。在670纳米处有一最大吸收峰。在一定浓度下，核糖核酸的浓度与光吸收值读数成线性关系。
