【异名】
荸荠梗(《饮片新参》)，地栗梗、荸荠苗(《苏州本产药材》)。
【来源】
为莎草科植物荸荠的地上茎。植物形态详"荸荠"条。
【采集】
7～8月间，将茎割下，晒干。
【药材】
干燥的茎，呈压扁状，长60～90厘米，直径4～7毫米，顶端有穗状花序；上部淡黄色，不易拉断，下部淡绿色，则易拉断。全体皱缩，表面有纵纹，具光泽；节处稍隆起，质轻松软，中间空，折断面内有白色膜状间隔，用扩大镜观察之，呈蜂窝状。气微弱。以干燥、完整、带黄绿色、无泥土杂质者为佳。 主产江苏、上海、浙江等地。
【性味】
①《饮片新参》："苦，平。" ②《苏州本产药材》："甘，寒。"
【功用主治】
①《饮片新参》："化湿热，利小便，通淋。" ②苏医《中草药手册》："清热，利尿。治小便不利，呃逆。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～3钱。
【选方】
治呃逆：通天草五钱，代赭石一两。煎服。(苏医《中草药手册》)
