发生于肾上腺的肿瘤。肾上腺皮质腺瘤并不少见,但只是功能性腺瘤才容易被发现。无内分泌作用的腺瘤不引起症状,不影响健康,在临床上不易被发现。肾上腺皮质腺癌发现时多已较大,一般以腰部肿块和疼痛为主要症状。有时甚至先有由转移引起的症状,局部淋巴结、肺和肝转移较多见;骨骼和脑的转移较少。癌瘤在未发生转移前行彻底切除,才有治愈的希望。手术时切口应较大,尽量行比较完整根绝的切除。预后较功能性腺癌为差。
