杨桃 Averrhoa carambola;carambola 酢浆草科阳桃属常绿灌木或小乔木。又称五敛子、阳桃。一年可多次收获的热带果树。原产东南亚,很早引入中国广东、广西、台湾、福建等地。树高5~10米,奇数羽状复叶。花白色带有紫斑。浆果卵形或椭圆形,果肉含草酸较多。种子外有假种皮。中国栽培种有甜杨桃和酸杨桃两种。酸杨桃果大,多加工成干果或作菜用。甜杨桃供鲜食,也可制蜜饯、果脯或果膏。多以酸杨桃为砧木进行嫁接繁殖。喜深厚肥沃土壤。果梗细弱,遇风易落果,又不耐低温,须立支柱防风防寒。虫害以乌羽蛾及黑点褐卷叶蛾危害最大。酸杨桃较抗寒、耐旱,栽种可较粗放。
