【来源】
为多孔菌种植物木蹄的菌体。
【植物形态】
木蹄 担子果木生，多年生，无柄。菌盖马蹄形，灰色、浅褐色至黑色，有厚角质皮壳及环状棱纹，菌肉软栓质，锈褐色；菌管多层，层次不甚明显，每层厚3～5毫米，色较菌肉浅，管口圆形，灰色至浅褐色，每毫米3～4个；孢子长椭圆形，无色。 多寄生于桦及栎的树干上，也生于杨、柳、赤杨、椴、榆等阔叶树的树干上。分布黑龙江、吉林、内蒙古、河北、山西、河南、陕西、甘肃、新疆、四川、贵州、云南、广西等地。
【采集】
6～7月采收，除去杂质，晒干。
【性味】
淡微苦，性平。
【功用主治】
消积，化瘀，抗癌。治小儿食积，食管癌，胃癌，子宫癌。
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，4～5钱。
【选方】
治小儿食积：桦菌芝三钱，红石耳四钱。水煎服。
