性质:又称穿心莲丙素,新穿心莲素,穿心莲新甙。无色柱状结晶。无苦味,熔点167~168℃,旋光度[α]D-48°(吡啶);-45°(c=1,无水乙醇)。可溶于甲醇、乙醇、丙酮、吡啶,微溶于氯仿、水,不溶于乙醚、石油醚。存在于爵床科植物穿心莲[An-drographis paniculata (Burm. f. ) Nees]的叶中。本品具有清热解毒、消肿止痛之功效。动物试验证明有抑制和延缓肺炎双球菌和溶血性乙型链球菌所引起的体温升高的作用。亦具有止咳、平喘作用。适用于急性细菌性痢疾、急性胃肠炎、上呼吸道感染、急性扁桃体炎、咽喉炎等。
