假性神经递质学说


  食物中的芳香族氨基酸,如酪氨酸、苯丙氨酸等,经细菌脱羧酶的作用转变为酪胺和苯乙胺。正常时这二种芳香胺在肝内被单胺氧化酶分解清除。肝功能衰竭时,肝脏清除功能发生障碍,这二种胺可进入脑组织,在脑内经羧化酶的作用形成鱆胺或苯乙醇胺。后二者的化学结构与正常神经递质多巴胺、肾上腺素、去甲肾上腺素相似,但不能传递神经冲动或传递作用很弱,被称为假性神经递质。当假性神经递质被脑细胞摄取并取代了突触的正常递质,则神经传导发生障碍,兴奋冲动不能正常地传至大脑皮层而产生异常抑制,出现意识障碍和昏迷。
