利用离心式细胞血浆分离机或膜式血浆滤器,将患者体内血浆移除,而同时输入正常血浆或血浆制品去置换。由于某些致病的蛋白质等成分随患者血浆移除或某些有治疗作用的物质随正常血浆输入,而起到治疗作用。该疗法可应用于急进性肾炎的治疗,系统性红斑狼疮的治疗,以及巨球蛋白血症、血栓性血小板减少性紫癜、溶血性尿毒症综合征。Rh血型不合新生儿溶血症、重症肌无力、多发性神经炎及雷诺病等多种疾病的治疗。
