除风湿，开郁结，杀虫。治关节疼痛，游风，噎膈，疳疾，瘰疬，痔瘘，恶疮。 ①《别录》："毒气皮中淫跃如针刺者，心腹痛走无常处，及鼠瘘恶疮。头骨尤良。" ②《药性论》："头骨炒末，治噎病不通饮食。" ③孟诜："食野鸟肉中毒，烧灰服之。" ④《日华子本草》："治游风，恶疮。" ⑤《纲目》："杀虫，治疳，瘰疬。" ⑥《四川中药志》："除风湿，治关节疼痛，镇心安眠，疗瘰疬。"
【用法与用量】
内服：研末入丸、散。外用：烧灰敷。
【选方】
①治瘰疬：狸头一枚。炙，捣筛，饮服方寸匕，日二。(《千金方》) ②治痔及瘘疮：狸骨，炙，和麝香、雄黄为丸服。(《孟诜方》)
【名家论述】
《本经逢原》："狸之与猫，同类异种，以性温散，故其骨炙灰，善开阴邪郁结之气，鼠瘘寒热，为之专药。《千金》以内治游风，苏颂作臛治鼠瘘，元化取头骨，《千金》用阴茎，总取攻毒破结之义。"
