Glutamate receptors can be cataloged into two groups: metabotropic receptors (mGluRs, Gprotein-coupled receptors) and ionotropic receptors (iGluRs, ligand-gated channels).
促离子型谷氨酸受体(iontropic glutamate receptors,iGluRs),是一类具有离子通道功能的受体,根据其选择性激动剂的不同,已鉴定的iGluRs有三种,即N-甲基-D-门冬氨酸(NMDA)受体,α-氨基-3-羟基-5-甲基-4-异恶唑丙酸(AMPA)受体和红藻氨酸(KA)受体。
