全称为c4塑胶炸药,简称c4。其主要成分是聚异丁烯,用火药混合塑料制成,威力极大。
c4的名称由来是每个单分子结构里有4个碳。是一种高效的易爆炸药,由梯恩梯(tnt)、semtex和白磷等高性能爆炸物质混合而成,可以被碾成粉末状,能随意装在橡皮材料中,然后挤压成任何形状。如果外边附上黏着性材料,就可以安置在非常隐蔽的部位,像口香糖那样牢牢地黏附在上面,因此被称为残酷"口香糖"。c4塑胶炸药原产捷克,现在美国也是主要生产国。这种炸药能轻易躲过x光安全检查,这一点是恐怖分子喜欢使用的原因。未经特定嗅识训练的警犬也难以识别它。
正是由于c4的这些性质,所以它一般都是各国军队使用的,普通民间难以得到。
