To obtain eye mutation mice induced by ENU which would offer the models for human eye diseases, 120 C57BL/6J male mice about 8-10 weeks old were injected intraperitoneally with a dose of ENU 100 mg·kg~(-1) once a week and total three times, and mated with the same strain female mice.

DBA/2 male mice of 8-10 weeks old were injected intraperitoneally with ethylnitrosurea (ENU 100 mg/kg) once a week for a total of three times.
