先天性单肾缺如
congenital unilateral renal agenesis
临床多无症状，因之其发病率在各作者报道中差异较大，为(1∶450）～(1∶1800）。虽然单肾更多见于男性，但女性由于合并生殖器畸形如子宫发育不良及阴道不发育等而进行检查者机会较多，因而易被发现。单侧肾不发育的严重性在于当孤立肾有病变或受到外伤后，因不了解病儿只有一个肾而轻易施行肾切除。这种严重错误在临床工作中是发生过的。因此，进行肾切除手术前必须查明对侧肾脏的情况。
