| 右玉县 位于中国山西省西北端。1990年人口9.56万。汉族为主，有回、蒙古、满、藏、苗、彝、畲7个少数民族。面积1964平方千米。秦置善元县。北齐设威远县 ，北周废。唐属云中。明洪武二十五年(1392)置定边卫。永乐七年(1409)设大同右卫，正统年间边外玉林并入右卫，改称右玉林卫。清初改为右玉卫，雍正三年（1725）升右玉县 。1958年并入左云县。1961年恢复。矿产有煤、硅石、云母、石棉、铁、石墨、锰、长石等。野生动物有狼、山鸡、石鸡、野鸽、黄羊、狍子、鹳等。土特产主要有燕麦片、沙棘饮料、胡油、水晶饼。名胜古迹有杀虎口、宝宁寺。 |
