【性状】
本品呈圆盘状，盘径3～6cm，蛇体直径0.2～0.4cm。头盘在中间，尾细， 常纳口内，口腔内上颌骨前端有毒沟牙1对，鼻间鳞2片，无颊鳞，上下唇鳞通常各为7片。 背部黑色或灰黑色，有白色环纹45～58个，黑白相间，白环纹在背部宽1～2行鳞片，向 腹面渐增宽，黑环纹宽3～5行鳞片，背正中明显突起一条脊棱，脊鳞扩大呈六角形，背鳞 细密，通身15行，尾下鳞单行。气微腥，味微咸。
