性质:是一种酸性蛋白,在猪脑中有两种形式,一种高分子量GMF(HMF-GMF),分子量2×105左右,另一种低分子量GMF(LMN-GMF),分子量在4×104左右。前者在脑抽提物中约占85%,后者随冻融的次数增加而升高。牛脑中制得的分子量约1.3×104,生物活性与猪脑的GMF完全相同。它们对多种蛋白酶敏感,加热或PH值较大改变都使其失活。GMF能加快皮样成胶质细胞的分化和成熟程度,在1~2天内使体外培养的上述细胞转变为多角形星状胶质细胞。还能加快体外培养的许旺氏细胞(Schwan cell)的分裂和繁殖速度。可诱发系列生物变化。
