该综合征为常染色体显性遗传。表现:出生后生长不良,肢体短,至2岁最明显,成人时身高82~130cm。步态蹒跚。干骺端不规则,蘑菇状。骨骺小,不规则,尤其股骨头骺。骨干短,弓形,以下肢为著。椎骨不同程度扁平,前方舌形,椎根短,腰椎前挺,后凸,侧弯。肋骨有匙状倾向。除肘以外,其他大关节过度活动。智力正常。出生后外观正常,即能区别于真正的软骨发育不全。
