蒺藜科Zygophyllaceae
落叶小灌木,高30—50cm。多分枝,偶数羽状复叶,小叶2,无柄。花瓣4,白色或淡黄色。蒴果4深裂,裂瓣微弯曲。中国特有孑遗单种属植物,草原化荒漠的建群种之一。分布于内蒙古,生于海拔1000—1300m处的石质低山、砂砾高地和山前洪积扇地。形态特征与金虎尾科接近,说明其与古地中海植物区系成分的联系。国家二级保护稀有种。
