| 铁线蕨 Adiantum capillus-veneris 水龙骨目铁线蕨科的一种。根状茎细长横走。叶柄亮乌木色，坚细如铁丝。叶片2～3回羽状分枝，末回分枝上长出扇形的小羽片，小羽片边缘浅裂，基部以关节和小羽柄相连，干旱时常从关节处脱落而留下小羽柄。成熟的小羽片下面在叶脉顶端生出孢子囊，并为向下反卷而变质的小羽片边缘所覆盖；这种假囊群盖初为绿色，后变为灰棕色，长圆形，每裂片1枚。该种广布于世界温暖地区。在中国广布于长江以南各省区，北达陕西、甘肃和河北，常作盆景栽培。全草入药，能清热解毒、驱风除湿、利尿通淋，治肺热咳嗽，瘰病等症。该种及属的大部分种类，生长于溪边石缝或屋旁墙脚，是钙质土的指示植物。
