电话咨询(telephone。。unseling)利用电话给来访者以劝告和安慰的一种咨询形式。它在防止由于心理危机所酿成的悲剧(如自杀与犯罪)方面有特殊价值1 953年英国一首创此类机构，命名为“撒马里坦斯”(Samaritans)。1960年美国洛杉矶自杀防治中心开始用电话咨询。德国的“电话呼救”、法国的“友情505”、苏联的“生命电话咨询处”、日本的“生命电话”等均是类似的电话咨询机构。心理咨询员日夜守候在电话机旁随时帮助来访者度过危机，必要时还可以赶赴到其所在地进行疏导帮助。有人称这种电话咨询为“希望线”“生命线”。这种方式的优点是咨询迅速及时，不分昼夜，不论远近。在精神崩溃的紧急关头，能得到心理土的支持，确可起到扭转乾坤的作用。当然电话咨询并不仅限于心理危机，各种心理问题都可以通过电话咨询得到解决。 (吴荣先赵耕涯撰梁宝勇审)
