Cutaneous pruritus is a common clinical symptom of primary biliary cirrhosis, which can be treated by enriching blood and moistening dryness, expelling wind and stopping itching; disinhibiting dampness and relieving jaundice, expelling wind and stopping itching, with good effects.

下燥治血 下燥治血 治疗原则之一。出《临证指南医案》。久病损及下焦肝肾之阴，每致虚火时炎，症见咽喉干痛，痰中混血，昼凉夜热，宜养阴滋肾，金水并调，用西洋参、玄参、生地、麦冬、百合、阿胶等。肝肾阴伤、液燥生风者，宜阿胶、鸡子黄、牡蛎、龟板、鳖甲、白芍、玄参等药，侧重血分治疗。
