| 灯心草科 Juncaceae 单子叶植物纲鸭跖草亚纲的一科。多年生或1年生草本，常密集丛生；常具根状茎。叶基生或同时茎生；叶片扁平至圆柱状，披针形，线形，有时退化呈芒刺状；叶鞘开放或闭合。花组成聚伞、伞房、圆锥或头状花序，稀为单生，小型，两性，整齐；花被片6，2轮交互排列，革质或干膜质；雄蕊6，稀为3，雌蕊由3心皮组成，子房上位，1或3室。蒴果，裂成3瓣。有8属约300种，分布于温带和寒带，常生于潮湿地。中国产2属约80余种，分布于全国各地，以西南地区较多。本科植物有些可编席、帽和制绳索；有的供药用，如灯心草、野灯心草等。灯心草茎有利尿通淋，清热安神的功能。灯心草的茎髓又可做灯心、枕心。
