性质:又称时钟反应或兰多特反应(Landolt reaction)。在一定的温度、浓度下,试剂混合后,经过恒定时间可观察到产物出现的反应。Landolt最先发现如下反应:酸性溶液中碘酸盐被亚硫酸氢盐缓慢还原成碘化物,碘酸盐相当迅速地与碘化物反应生成碘。但释放出的碘又更快地被亚硫酸盐还原,这一反应是如此之快,以致亚硫酸盐耗完前不会出现碘。因此显示碘出现所需的时间是[IO3-],[HSO3-]浓度和温度的函数。若有少量淀粉存在,碘出现,呈不透明蓝色,因而这个反应可用作时钟(23℃时,t=3.7×10-3s/[IO3-][HSO3-](浓度单位是mol/L)。
