【植物形态】
植物形态：常绿木质大藤本，长达10米。茎圆柱形，有纵条纹，扭曲，幼枝红色。叶互生，小叶3枚，各不相等，叶柄长3~15厘米，中间小叶倒卵形，全缘，两侧小叶偏或椭圆形，全缘；表面暗绿色，背面灰白色，两面均无毛且稍为光泽。花黄绿色，单性异株，腋生总状花序，雄花萼片，花瓣及雄蕊均6枚；雌花萼片，花瓣均6枚，退化雄蕊6枚，心皮多数，分离。果为聚合浆果，每一果近于球形，经约7厘米，暗蓝色而被有白粉，具有肉质果柄。种子球状卵形，基部为楔形，黑色有光泽。 生态分布：特产我国中、南部至东部；多生于阔叶林中及灌丛中。 药用部分：根、藤入药，夏秋季采收。 用途：性味苦、平。能通经补血，强筋壮骨，行血，驱虫。治跌打损伤，风湿疼痛，阑尾炎，血丝虫病，血晕，血淋，疮疖等。用量：5钱~1两。
