性周期 sexual cycle 雌性哺乳动物自初情期到性功能衰退的生命阶段中,在性行为以及生殖系统结构和功能上的周期性变化。在性周期中,除了卵巢排卵外,生殖器官的其他部分亦有变化,如子宫壁在排卵前后增厚。在排卵时期,动物性欲旺盛,故性周期也叫发情周期或动情周期。雌性灵长类(包括人类)性周期的显著特点是在性周期中,与子宫内膜周期性脱落的同时,子宫出血并从阴道流出。一般28天左右一次,叫月经或月经来潮,因而灵长类的性周期也叫月经周期。 雌性哺乳动物发情周期的时间,或指上一次发情开始至下一次发情开始,或指上一次排卵至下一次排卵之间的时间间隔。在发情周期中卵巢、子宫与阴道等主要附属性器官的变化见表。
性周期的调节机制还不完全明了。一种学说认为,中枢神经系统经一定的时间间隔发出神经冲动,经下丘脑、垂体的体液性调节而发生周期性排卵。另一种学说则认为,下丘脑-垂体-卵巢内分泌途径的反馈作用系统影响周期性的变化。因而,新周期的开始就成为前一周期结束的必然结果,性周期得以周而复始。目前一般接受第二种学说的较多。 |
