| 修道院 seminary 基督教组织机构名称。一为拉丁文Seminarium的意译，为天主教培训神父的学院，又译神学院。简称修院，分为备修院、小修院、大修院3种。二为天主教隐修院的另一译名。隐修院拉丁文monasterium的意译。始于2～3世纪 ，分男与女修院，按天主教法典的规定，须由教皇和主教批准，至少有修士12人方可成立。英文seminary又指新教各派培训神职人员的学院，通常译作神学院。
