分子式C20H31NO3，分子量333.46。又称维静宁，其枸橼酸盐，白色结晶粉末。熔点90～95℃，极易溶于水、氯仿，溶于乙醇、丙酮、乙酸乙酯，不溶于乙醚。有选择性的抑制咳嗽反射中枢的作用。毒性很小。可用于治疗上呼吸道等感染引起的急性咳嗽。可由四氢呋喃、苄基氰和枸橼酸合成。
