【性状】
本品呈圆形或碟状椭圆形，直径9～15cm,厚薄不一。黄色或黄棕色，一 面凹凸不平，有不规则沟纹，另一面较平滑，常附有残余的脐带，其四周有细血管。质 硬脆，有腥气。
【炮制】
除去灰屑，砸成小块或研成细粉。
【性味与归经】
甘、咸，温。归心、肺、肾经。
【功能与主治】
温肾补精，益气养血。用于虚劳羸瘦，骨蒸盗汗，咳嗽气喘，食 少气短，阳痿遗精，不孕少乳。
【用法与用量】
2～3g,研末吞服。
【贮藏】
置干燥处，防蛀。
