小滚钟口风景区距银川城区33公里，是贺兰山观景和避暑的最佳景点，此处三面环山，山口东开，恰似一口“大钟”。钟口内钟铃山位于景区中央，似“钟之铃锤”，滚钟口故此得名。西夏时期，这里就是有名的游览避暑胜地。在此可以观赏到“贺兰庙”古代寺院建筑群；建于明代的阿拉伯克马伦长老的拱北及清真寺；明代烽火台遗址；还可观赏到“笔架山”、“贺兰晴雪”等自然景观。滚钟口已定为省级风景区。
苏峪口森林公园
贺兰山下的景点多位于山麓，唯有这片森林公园处于贺兰山的腹地。苏峪口位于银川市西北约二十公里的路程，就来到森林公园。拥有数十万亩林区的苏峪口森林公园，墨绿的林海盖满高坡深谷，走在登山步道上，望美丽的风景，听满耳的松涛，犹如置身尘世之外。走过一二架坡，登上三架坡的坡顶，人已处于林海之中。低头看百丈悬崖，放眼望郁郁葱葱的森林，古松立于峭壁之间，残雪留存高山之顶。雄伟险峻的景致，使人忆起明代金幼孜咏贺兰山的诗句：“贺兰之山五百里，极目长空高插天。断峰迤俪烟云阔，古塞微茫紫翠连。”
贺兰山岩画
在宁夏贺兰山的贺兰、广东等山口现存古代游牧民族的摩崖石刻贺兰山岩画数万帧。岩画中有飞禽走兽、人面手印等，是研究古代游牧民族习俗、宗教、狩猎、争战和情感的宝贵资料。据专家考证，这些古代岩画的创作年代可自明清上溯至5000年的史前文明。距银川城区40多公里的贺兰山贺兰口是参观古代岩画的最佳去处，在此可看到“太阳神”、“人面”、“西夏文字及手印”等精美岩画。
