兔狲，别名玛瑙、羊猞猁、乌伦，学名 Felis manul，英文名 Pallas's cat。猫科 Felidae。分布在东北、西北及四川省，国家二级保护动物。
兔狲体型与家猫类似，体重2～3千克，身体粗壮而短，耳短而宽，呈钝圆形，两耳距离较远。全身体毛浓密细长呈棕黄色，后部有黑色细横纹，四肢毛色较浅，尾粗圆，具6～8条黑色横纹，尾尖为黑色。头顶部灰色，具多个黑色斑点，眼内角至吻端为白色，面颊部具两条细横纹。
兔狲主要在荒漠、戈壁及草原地区、林中、丘陵及山地也有分布，常独居于石缝中、石块下或占领旱獭的巢穴。夜行性，但晨昏活动频繁。以旱獭、野禽及鼠类为食。视、听觉较敏锐，避敌时行动迅速，叫声与家猫相似，但较粗野。每年多在2月份交配，4～5月份繁殖，每胎3～4他，有时多达6仔，与环境的食物资源情况大有关系。
主食啮齿类动物，对消灭鼠类，防止传染病，减低鼠害影响均有重要作用。毛皮厚密贵重。
