视神经

  第二对脑神经,即传导视觉冲动的脑神经。视神经的纤维始于视网膜的节细胞,节细胞的轴突于视网膜后部汇集成视神经乳头,以后穿进巩膜的筛板,构成视神经。视神经于眶内行向后内,在眶尖穿视神经孔入颅中窝,经视交叉入脑。视神经离开眼球时,包被着三层膜,它们分别与相应的脑膜延续。由于脑内的蛛网膜下腔与视神经的蛛网膜下间隙相通,所以颅压增高时常出现视神经乳头水肿,而且中枢神经的疾病也常累及视神经。
