位于手腕部，由8块小骨组成，排列成两排，近侧排自桡侧向尺侧为手舟骨、月骨、三角骨及豌豆骨，除豌豆骨外，均参与桡腕关节的组成。远侧排自桡侧向尺侧为大多角骨、小多角骨、头状骨及钩骨，均参与腕掌关节的组成。所有腕骨并非排列在一个冠状平面上，而是构成一个掌侧面凹陷的纵行浅沟，即腕骨沟。沟的尺、桡侧各有一隆起，分别为腕尺侧隆起和腕桡侧隆起，前者由豌豆骨和钩骨钩构成，后者由手舟骨结节和大多角骨结节构成。腕横韧带横跨于腕骨沟的尺、桡侧隆起上，形成腕管，有9条屈指长肌腱及正中神经通过。
