植物形态：落叶灌木，茎匍匐，或下垂，高约1米。有刺，小枝淡黄色或淡灰黄色，有棱，或狭翅状，无毛。叶互生，或在枝基上有2或3叶聚生，无毛，卵形至卵状披针形，长1~5厘米，宽4~13毫米，基部楔形，顶端尖或钝头，全缘。花紫色，多3~5花腋生，萼钟状，3~5裂，花冠5裂，雄蕊5枚，子房长卵形，上位，2室。浆果卵圆形，或长圆形，熟时红色或黄色。 生态分布：产我国南北各地；多生于荒地、山坡、田边、村落、城镇庭园中有生长。 药用部分：根、叶、果入药，夏秋采收。 用途：根性味苦、寒，无毒。能清肝肾，降肺中伏火，治骨蒸劳热，及肺热喘咳，腰脚痿软，吐血，烦热消渴等。果性味甘、平。能补肝肾、明目。用量：枸杞子（果）、根皮1.5钱~3钱。
