【来源】
为玄参科植物泡桐或毛泡桐的花。植物形态详"桐皮"条。
【功用主治】
治上呼吸道感染，支气管肺炎，急性扁桃体炎，菌痢，急性肠炎，急性结膜炎，腮腺炎，疖肿。
【选方】
治腮腺炎(痄腮)：泡桐花八钱。水煎，白糖一两冲服。(《河南中草药手册》)
【临床应用】
治疗炎症感染 将泡桐花制成注射剂、片剂、药膏、水剂等多种剂型，治疗16种疾病计244例，均有一定疗效。其中对上感、支气管肺炎、急性扁桃体炎、菌痢、急性肠炎、疖肿、急性结膜炎的疗效较好，治疗中未发现不良反应和副作用。制剂及用法；㈠注射剂：每毫升相当于鲜花6克或干花1.5克，每日肌注2～4次，每次2～4毫升；㈡片剂：每片相当于干花0.25克，每次5～10片，日服3～4次；㈢水剂：滴眼、滴鼻或滴耳用，每日2～3次，适用于外耳道炎、鼻炎、结膜炎等；㈣药膏：每100克含干花约500克，调剂成膏后外用，每日1～2次，适用于手足癣、疮疖、烧伤等。
