悬铃木科 Platanaceae 双子叶植物纲金缕梅亚纲的一科。落叶乔木,具掌状裂的叶片,有长叶柄,具叶柄下芽,托叶大,上部平展而张开,下部鞘状。花雌雄同株,头状花序。萼片3~8;花瓣与萼片同数;雄蕊悬铃木3~8;果实由多数小坚果集合成球形的聚花果,小坚果基部围有长绒毛。1属7种,分布于北美、东欧及亚洲西部。中国引种3种,以杂交种二球悬铃木最常见。悬铃木树干较直,树冠宽广多分枝,适于城市绿化和行道树。悬铃木科和金缕梅科有亲缘关系,在形态结构上似乎比金缕梅科稍为简化。
