狗精(《本经》)，狗阴(《本草经集注》)，黄狗肾(《饮片新参》)，狗鞭(《中药志》)。
【来源】
为犬科动物狗雄性的外生殖器，动物形态详"狗肉"条。
【采集】
全年可采，以冬季所取者为佳。将狗杀死后，割下阴茎及睾丸(亦有不带睾丸的)，去净附着的肉、骨及油脂，拉直，晾干或焙干。
【药材】
干燥的阴茎呈直棒状，长约12厘米，直径约2厘米，先端稍尖，另一端有细长的输精管，连接睾丸。睾丸呈椭圆形，长3～4厘米，宽约2厘米。全体淡棕色，外表光滑。阴茎部分质坚硬，不易折断。气腥臭。以色淡黄，带红筋，条长大，粗壮，带睾丸者为佳。 主产广东、广西、江苏等地。以广东所产者最著名，通称为"广狗肾。"

含雄性激素、蛋白质、脂肪等。
【炮制】
切片或酒洗，炙黄用。
【性味】
咸，温。 ①《本经》："味咸，平。" ②《别录》："无毒。" ⑧《千金·食治》："味酸，平，无毒。" ④《本草经疏》："咸，温。"
【功用主治】
补命门，暖冲任。治男子阳痿，女子带下。 ①《本经》："主伤中阴痿不起，除女子带下十二疾。" ⑦孟诜："补精髓。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，1.5～3钱。
【宜忌】
《本草经疏》："阳事易举者忌之，内热多火者勿服。"
